Whitehall

From Pall Mall we walked to Whitehall. The sun was finally out, another superb reason for a slow morning stroll. I really enjoy the walk and I end-up taking too many pictures of statues, policemen on horse, and everything in sight 🙂 Here’s some pictures i have on the way to Whitehall…

Not the typical commercial tourist spots that i frequent, the area consists of government departments and ministries. So here’s Whitehall…

Whitehall is a road in the City of Westminster, Central London, which forms the first part of the A3212 road from Trafalgar Square to Chelsea. It is the main thoroughfare running south from Trafalgar Square towards Parliament Square. The street is recognized as the center of Her Majesty’s Government and is lined with numerous departments and ministries including the Ministry of Defense, Horse Guards and the Cabinet Office. Consequently, the name “Whitehall” is used as a metonym for British central governmental administration, and the geographic name for the surrounding area.
